This is SOOOOO WRONG!

According to the AP Mariah Carey has now surpassed Elvis for most #1 singles on Billboard's HOT 100, with her 18th!  She is now second only to the Beatles. OMFG!!!!

I know, I know - the woman can sing (or rather she has an amazing range) but there is something just not right about Mariah Carey surpassing Elvis on the charts and now supposedly she “has her sights set on the Beatles”!  Yikes!  Her songs are not in the same category and will never compare to or will ever be called “classics”.  At least I admire her for recognizing this herself as she stated, “I really can never put myself in the category of people who have not only revolutionized music but also changed the world.”  Amen!

Be honest, can you picture yourself years from now when you’re ahem, in your "twilight years" hanging out with your retirement village/senior home pals around the piano singing “Touch My Body”?  C'mon!? That’s about as likely to happen as singing Sir Mix-a-Lot’s biggest hit with the same crowd.  "I Like Big..."
